Lee Anne Owens, Program Director
Lee Anne has served as the Program Director for Hendricks County CASA since December 2016 and was named the Indiana State GAL/CASA Director of the Year in 2023. After many years of serving as an educational advocate for children, she widened the scope of her advocacy interests and worked as a CASA volunteer before becoming the program director. If asked to name her favorite aspect of her role, she states it is ensuring that the children of our county have strong voices to advocate for their best interests.
She is also active on the State GAL/CASA level, currently serving on the Indiana GAL/CASA Certification, Standards and Best Practices Committee, the State Conference Committee and the GAL/CASA Advisory Commission. Lee Anne is a graduate of Ball State University and has lived in the Hendricks County area for twenty years. She is the very proud mother of five children and adores being “Grammy” to her two grandchildren! In her spare time, Lee Anne loves to read, crochet, cheer on the Indianapolis Colts and go thrift shopping.
Stephanie Neier, Volunteer Coordinator
Stephanie began with the Hendricks County CASA program as a passionate volunteer in February of 2018. In January of 2021 she became a CASA staff member, serving as the program’s Volunteer Coordinator. Her professional experience in volunteer coordination helps aid in recruiting volunteers, assist with training opportunities, and support all current volunteers of the Hendricks County CASA program. She enjoys finding innovative and unique ways to rehabilitate and strengthen the family unit. Her previous work with special needs services blends perfectly with CASA’s role in determining the wants and needs of children and giving a voice for their best interest.
Stephanie was born and raised in Hendricks County. She currently resides in Avon with her husband and five children. She has several years of experience in advocating for children with special needs in the church, community, and public school system settings. Having both biological and adopted children, she understands the challenges many of our families encounter. She is an active 4-H volunteer and loves to spend time with her family homeschooling her younger children, attending sporting events, visiting her older children at college, and shopping with her mother.
